Bonjour!
Hi all! Just letting you know that I am currently on vacation in Paris right now. Our plane landed today and we didn't get much of a chance to look around, but the lunch we had was sooooooo good. I will be sure to post more pictures!

Belated Reviews
So before the last two weeks of hell took over my life, I had been trying lots of new products - here are two bath and body products that have changed my life
This is Matrix Biolage Hydotherapie's Conditioning Balm. It retails for about $20 and is SO WORTH IT. Not only does it smell excellent but it makes my tangle-ly mane straight and healthy in 3 minutes! The effect i get with this is just beyond words... when i use this on my hair my hair just turns into everything I want it to be.
I will skip conditioner when i use this since this is so powerful. Since I have thick hair, I tend to run out any hair product very quickly. I have already run out of a lot of this but think that it's completely worth it to repurchase.

This is Lush's Sultana of Soap. It may be because I'm heavily biased and completely in love with this soap, but I feel like this cleans better than regular soaps. This smell is really wonderful, and i would go so far as to suggest this over the Honey I Washed the Kids (which is even more expensive). My skin feels extra-moisturized after I have used this soap, and i can smell this wonderful scent on my skin the next morning. The best part is: you can pronounce all the ingredients! Even my boyfriend likes to steal it, and he only allows the purest of chemicals to touch his skin. (He is obsessed with health and nutrition, as evidenced by the fact that he only eats wild-caught salmon and grass-fed beef)
I hope you found these reviews helpful!

More Nars
Ok ok. I did not make my no-buy. As of right now, I have 5 empties (more about that in a later post) But I stopped only because for the last two weeks I had pretty much stopped wearing makeup. During these weeks I was so preoccupied with papers, presentations, and exams that I would just sleep 2 hours a night and only eat wheat thins during the day. Needless to say my body is severely out of shape.
But I just graduated yesterday and am ready to return to the world of makeup. I came back to quite the welcome party:

Left to right, top to bottom. Crazed, Exhibit A, Belly Dancer, Angelicka, Night Porter, Cactus Flower
I am so excited to try these, and I can't wait to start wearing makeup again!

Worst Purchase Ever
Thank Goodness I am on a no buy, because I have been making extreme judgment errors in buying makeup lately. Example:

These are Prestige's SkinLoving Minerals Blush... First of all, they are tiny. Each contains about 1 g of product. Second, they have horrible color payoff.

This is after rubbing my fingers in there forever. Prestige is one of those companies that are very hit and miss with their products. I can see why a lot of drugstores in the US don't carry them. Stay away from these if you see them!
Oh, and I haven't been posting nail of the weeks lately, but this week is special!

This is OPI's Gargantuan Green Grape. It looks exactly like MAC's peppermint patty. Maybe a tad more yellow and pukey, but i like that for the spring. The one thing about this polish is that it is really streaky and sheer, but I think all yellows and greens are. This particular application is after 3 coats.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

New Obsession
I've been doing more neutral eyes lately, partly because exciting looks take too long and are not very professional. Now, I hate being so boring, so naturally I would gravitate towards a funky spin of a neutral eye - adding a pop of color with liner.
I recently purchased a lot of Urban Decay's 24/7 Liners. This one in particular is called Covet. It's a deep yet bright green.

I do have small lids and they can be quite oily sometimes, which is why I have never gotten eyeliner to stay on me for a long time. Until I found Makeup Forever's Eye Seal. This stuff will make any eyeliner stay, and it's foolproof to use. First I line like how I normally would with the Covet, then I just pour a drop out of the MUFE (onto my boyfriend's disposed contact cases since he wears dailies), and then I go over the color again, which really makes it pop as well as stay put for the entire day.
The effect:

Eyes Open:

Full Face. The liner makes a small but noticeable difference

Hope that was helpful!

10 Pan Challenge
So it's been a long time no post, but I am in the midst of my worst week ever in terms of workload...and the thing on my lip has healed but has healed to form the most conspicuous scab ever... so no FOTDs.
Until then...Lollipop 26 has come up with an idea that I might like... no more buying new makeup until we use up 10 different things. Now I really need to do this since I have a ridiculous storage shortage - I am still living in a dorm and have already started moving some of my stuff out. If you saw my last video you would realize how pathetic I am, right now I am using anything and everything for storage... shoeboxes, random shipping boxes, plastic bags, etc.
Now there is a condition. Obviously I did not know I was doing this until today, so I cannot control the fact that there are things in the mail coming my way. But those will be the last of the bunch until after I move back home to more space!
We also decided to take pictures, and I thought I would just take a preliminary picture on what my guesses are for the ten things I am going to use up...this could be completely different from what ends up happening:

As you can see i've already kind of gotten two things - my clinique blush and my estee lauder eyesahdow...let's see how well I do in this challenge!

NYX Haul
Ok so i got bitten on the lip by some nefarious insect and I will refrain from posting FOTDs until the swelling tides over. Until then, I will be making haul posts
A while back, I read from Leesha's twitter that NYX was having a huge sale on large packets of goods. I got a set of 30 lipsticks, a set of 8 lipglosses and eyeshadows, and a set of 8 scented body glitters (to humor myself with). Again, these were all photographed hastily because I do things in a mad rush.
Here are the lipsticks (I will be taking each and every single one of them out for a proper introduction in the future). There are some weird ones in there like silver and pure white, but I am sure I can get use out of them.

Lipglosses and Eyeshadows:

Eyeshadows opened up:

and body glitters:

I will be doing a lot of swatching! Have a great day all!
PS: NYX has another sale and they have more things posted! Good haulin'!
